Ongoing technical support
One team to call for anything technical
The site goes down, email stops arriving, a domain is about to lapse, nobody knows the password. Many owners do not have a technical person. We are that person, for everything we build and the things you already have.
Ascent Vision's ongoing technical support keeps a business's technology running after launch: website updates, security and backups, domains and certificates, business email, the accounts the business depends on, fixes when something breaks and changes as the business grows. It covers what Ascent Vision built and, after a review, what the business already had, with one team to call and every account kept in the business's name.
What you get
- Website updates, security and backups, to keep the site fast and secure
- Domains, certificates and business email watched, so renewals are caught early
- A written list of your accounts, who owns each and who has access
- Fixes and changes when you need them, from people who know your setup
How it works
Take stock
Every site, domain, inbox and account the business depends on, and what state each is in.
Fix what is at risk
Expiring domains, missing backups, shared passwords and anything else that could take the business offline.
Keep it up
Updates, renewals and checks on a schedule, so problems are caught early.
Be there when it breaks
One team to call, who already knows how everything is set up.
Who it is for
- Owners without a technical person, who end up doing it themselves
- Businesses that lost a site, an inbox or a domain once and do not want it to happen again
- Anyone whose old web person disappeared with the passwords
What we will not do
- Keep your accounts in our name. Everything stays the business's.
- Promise nothing will ever break. We promise to know your setup and to fix it.
- Make changes to your live site or accounts without telling you.
Questions
Do you support a website you did not build?
Yes, after a review. We look at how it was built and what state it is in, tell you what needs fixing first and then keep it running. If it would cost more to keep than to replace, we say so.
What does website maintenance involve?
Updates to the site and anything it runs on, security and backups, renewing the domain and certificate, checking that forms and email still arrive, and fixing what breaks. Small changes to content and pages are part of it too.
My old web person disappeared with the passwords. Can you help?
Usually, yes. Most accounts can be recovered by the business that owns them, and we walk you through it, then put every account in the business's name with a written list of who has access.
